Revised 05/12/2003

What is the Pleasanton Phantom?
Ever wonder about those jackets and sweatshirts with the "Phantom" logo that you see the girls wearing at school and around the Sports Park? You wondered why young softball players are into the Phantom of the Opera instead of Jennifer Lopez or Justin Timberlake? Most of these girls have never even heard of Phantom but they wear the symbol with pride as members of Pleasanton's "Traveling Teams".  The Pleasanton Girls Softball League conducts an annual summer program, which competes in ASA Sanctioned Tournaments, that are played through out the Greater Bay Area & Northern California. Phantom teams in all age groups have acquitted themselves well in recent years, with many earning invitations to the "National Tournaments" held in August in such faraway locales as Washington state, Colorado, Missouri, New Mexico and Texas.

Who is Eligible?
This year PGSL will sponsor Teams in four youth age Divisions (10s, 12s, 14s, 18s).  These Teams are selected from a combined League play evaluation process along with Phantom Team Try Outs that will be conducted during April, 2003.  Tryouts for 2003 Traveling Teams were held on April 27 and teams have been selected.  Click HERE for team rosters.

Coaching Careers !
Coaches interested in learning more about our program should contact Mike Reever (925) 426-2487 to obtain more information. Phantom Team Head Coaches and Assistant Coaches will be approved by the PGSL Board of Directors at the March 2003 meeting.

PGSL 2003 Summer Classic
The Pleasanton Girls Softball League hosts its own Annual Tournament.  The 2003 Tournament will be held on July 18 - 20, 2003.  Our Tournament traditionally hosts some 50 Teams, and is held at the Pleasanton Sports Park Adult & Girls Softball Complexes.  The PGSL Summer Classic is one of the most popular and well-attended Tournaments in Northern California.
