TOURNAMENT RULES
| 1. | Eligibility and membership requirements and conditions are for all divisions. These divisions are A.S.A. sanctioned Junior Olympic Softball "B" Divisions. All teams in these divisions must be registered with A.S.A. and be Class "B" teams defined by the Pacific Coast Region Junior Olympics program. |
| 2. | Proof of age is required. The burden of proof is with the manager if challenged by official protest. We recommend teams carry proof of age. Age eligibility by division is according to A.S.A. Junior Olympic qualifications. |

Managers must submit their rosters to their respective A.S.A. Junior Olympic commissioner who will verify that the team meets the tournament rules and that the teams are "B" classification. THERE WILL BE NO EXCEPTIONS! |
| 4. | The playing rules will be current year official A.S.A. Playing Rules for Fastpitch. **Exception** U10's will play with 10 players on the field. |
| 5. | 7 innings or 80 minutes constitutes a regulation game, unless one team is ahead by 8 runs at the end of 5 innings. No new inning will start after 80 minutes has expired. Ties are allowed in pool play. |
| 6. | At the end of play during pool play (either by time limit or completion of 7 innings), a win will be worth 2 points, a tie will be worth 1 point and a loss will be worth 0 points. |
| 7. | ORDER OF FINISH: Will be determined by total number of points earned. In the event of ties at the end of pool play, the following tie-breakers will be used: 1) Head to head, 2) Runs allowed, 3) Runs scored, 4) Coin toss. TIE-BREAKERS WILL NOT REVERT BACK. In age Divisions U10 and U12, the top 2 teams in each pool will be seeded cross pool for Championship Play. Teams 9 through 14 for the U10 and 9 through 16 for the U12, will be seeded for Consolation Play. In the U14 Division all 9 teams will be seeded 1 through 9 for Championship Play. In the U18 Division all 10 teams will be seeded 1 through 10 for Championship Play. |
| 8. | In all Championship and Consolation round games through the semi-final games on Sunday, the International Tie-breaker rule will be in effect after 7 innings or 80 minutes (whichever comes first). The Championship and Consolation Finals will have no time limit but will have the International Tie-breaker rule in effect after 7 innings. |
| 9. | The Umpire will handle all protests on the spot. Umpires do have the option to consult with the Tournament Director, who's decision is final. The Tournament Director will handle any player eligibility protests. |
| 10. | 15 minutes prior to game time, each manager will submit a lineup card to umpires and the opposing team manager. |
| 11. | Each team is responsible for knowing when and where their games are to be played according to the schedule. A 5-minute grace period will be given before a game is forfeited. |
| 12. | Teams listed first in the schedule for each game will take the 3rd base dugout (unless already occupied by the opponent, who has just completed a game on the same field). Home team will be determined by coin toss prior to the game. |

| 14. | Winning team is responsible to report scores to a Field Marshall or to the Snack Bar at the Girls Softball Field (GSB - 7). |
| 15. | All teams are responsible for picking up the trash in their dugouts and bleacher areas immediately following their games. |
