What is the Pleasanton Phantom? Ever wonder about those jackets and sweatshirts with the "Phantom" logo that you see the girls wearing at school and around the Sports Park? You wondered why young softball players are into the Phantom of the Opera instead of N'Sync or the Backstreet Boys? Most of these girls have never even heard of Phantom but they wear the symbol with pride as members of Pleasanton's "Traveling Teams". Pleasanton Girls Softball League conducts an annual summer program, which competes in ASA Sanctioned B Tournaments, that are played through out the Greater Bay Area & Northern California. Phantom teams in all age groups have acquitted themselves well in recent years, with many earning invitations to the "National Tournaments" held in August in such faraway locales as Washington state, Colorado and Texas. For girls who love to play softball, this is a great opportunity to further develop their skills and have fun over the summer!!!
