PGSL Publicity in Local Newspapers

The Tri-Valley Herald and the Valley Times will print results from PGSL games in the Hometown Sports sections of their newspapers. The Herald will print team names, scores, names and stats of top players and comments about the game. The Times will only print the names of the teams, score and top players.

To ensure that PGSL gets the most coverage possible, we ask that teams use publicity sheets that are available at the PGSL snack bar. The winning team is responsible to complete the form and then return the completed form to the Snack Bar. We will deliver all forms to the newspapers each Monday morning.

At minimum, the newspapers are looking for the following information:

• Both team names (sponsor name…… not team nickname or team number)
• Final score, date of game, and division (mini rec, minor upper, etc.)
• Both first and last names of any players mentioned and player stats
• Highlights from the game for both teams
