Pleasanton Phantom Traveling Team Program

WHAT IS PLEASANTON PHANTOM

The Pleasanton Girls Softball League conducts a  summer program, with traveling teams competing in tournaments that are played throughout the greater Bay Area & Northern California.  Phantom teams consist of only players registered with PGSL.  The selection of these teams occurs in early May, with the first tournament usually over the Memorial Day weekend,  and they will generally play through late July/early August.   Phantom teams will play in 4 – 7 tournaments and require a higher commitment level than what is required of the PGSL spring league.  Phantom teams in all age groups have represented themselves well in recent years, with many competitively competing at the “ASA National Championship Tournaments" held in August in such faraway locales as Washington State, Colorado, Texas and New Mexico.

PHANTOM FALL BALL PROGRAM

For the past several years the Phantom program has fielded fall traveling teams in 10u, 12u and 14u divisions.  These teams have played in 4 – 5 local tournaments from September through early November.  Players are to tryout for the age group that they would be eligible for during the following summer season.
